OUR GOAL
This organization in our district encourages youths in the field of Adventure Sports. Adventure is harder task than we imagine, but the joy that accompanies hardship is equally great. The main purpose of our organization is to promote adventure sports such as Rock climbing, Mountaineering, Trekking, Coastal Trekking, Water Expedition, Motor Cycle Expedition, Cycle Expedition, etc. We are also organizing Medical Assistance Camp & Tree Plantation with the help of youths of our district and outside. Adventure activities can provide numerous benefits it will help to grow and become more confident, increased physical fitness, mental toughness, personal growth, provide amusement and excitement, encourage creativity of an individual and a sense of accomplishment. The engagement in extreme sports learn to channel the anxiety into something constructive.
The Journey so far…
Since the inception in 1982, for past four decades, Giripremi is committed to promote the Mountaineering and Adventure sports across all sectrs of society. During these years, club has achieved some of the remarkable feats which have given us a Global Recognition in the field of Mountaineering. Today, it is the only organisation in India, to successfully reach to the top of Seven 8000 m mountains, to have 11 mountaineers who have climbed Mt. Everest and 10 who have climbed Mt. Kangchenjunga. We are proud to have two mountaineers as a part of organisation who are the recipients of the most prestigious sports award in Maharashtra, the ‘Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award’.
